“Entrepreneurship is one important strategy for keeping good jobs here, in Africa, so we can set up the infrastructure and green factories we need to thrive. If Africa provides a growing workforce with ‘decent, productive, and secure’ employment, then things can only get better,” NJ says.
NJ elaborates, suggesting that entrepreneurship is key. “Part of the solution to Africa’s energy poverty is to adopt a pro-entrepreneur stance,” he says. “And by that, I mean I’d like to see African governments adopt policies that discourage corruption, encourage transparency, and remove red-tape barriers to entry for new companies.”
